Driver of Homemade Go-Kart Dies After Pasco Crash
A pickup truck rear-ended the go-kart, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
PASCO COUNTY – The driver of a homemade go-kart died Sunday (Nov. 12) of injuries he received in a traffic crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Cody J. Liller. 27, of Zephyrhills, died at Florida Hospital of Zephyrhills, where he was taken after the crash.
The crash happened about 6:56 p.m. on Central Avenue west of Warbler Street. Mr. Liller was driving a homemade go-kart east on Central when he was hit from the rear by a 1995 GMC Sierra driven by Harold S. Dupree, 64, of Zephyrhills, troopers said.
The impact pushed the go-kart off the road onto the outside eastbound shoulder.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
