Driver Dies in Single Car Pasco Crash

The man was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY – A Hudson man died this morning (July 30) in a single-car crash in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Edsel Wayne Hahn, 66, of Hudson, died at the scene.

The accident happened about 3:14 a.m. on Hicks Road north of Hudson Avenue. Mr. Hahn was driving a 1996 Dodge Intrepid north on Hicks when his car left the road and traveled onto the grass shoulder. The car returned to the road, then left the road again over the curb edge to the east and crashed into a chain-link fence. Mr. Hahn died at the scene. Troopers said alcohol does not appear to be a factor. Mr. Hahn was not wearing a seat belt.
