Driver Dies After Single-Car Crash

She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A 69-year-old woman died Saturday (Nov. 25) of injuries she received when her car hit a tree, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Patricia J. Clark died at Brandon Regional Hospital where she was taken after the crash.

Deputies said Ms. Clark was driving her 2015 Volkwagen Passat north on New River Hills Parkway about 10:45 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, she drove off the east shoulder of the roadway and hit a tree.

She was not wearing a seat belt, deputies said. Alcohol is not suspected in the crash.
