PINELLAS COUNTY – A Tampa woman died of injuries she received late Wednesday (Oct. 19) when her car crashed after veering off I-275, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Danyella Lee Gieder, 25, of Tampa, died at Bayfront Medical Center of injuries she received in the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash happened about 11:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-275 south of Gandy Boulevard. Ms. Gieder was driving a 2007 Nissan Altima north on the interstate when the car left the road, for unknown reasons, and hit a guardrail, troopers said. After hitting the guardrail, the Nissan came back onto the road and collided with a concrete bridge support on the opposite side of the interstate. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, troopers said.
