She lost control of her SUV, according to FHP troopers.
SEMINOLE – A Seminole woman died this morning (Oct. 7) in a crash on 102nd Avenue N after she lost control of her SUV, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Shawn Michelle Bodden, 37, died at the scene. It is unclear if alcohol was a factor in the crash. Troopers said test results are pending.
Her passenger, Rene Joseph Bergeron, 39, of Seminole was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in serious condition.
The crash happened about 12:15 a.m. at the intersection of 102nd Avenue N and 97th Street N in Seminole.
Troopers said Ms. Bodden was driving a 2006 Chevrolet HHR west on 102nd when, for unknown reasons, she lost control of the SUV. The SUV began to rotate and left the road where it collided with a concrete barrier wall and guardrail.
