The crash closed Drew Street for more than four hours.

CLEARWATER – One woman was killed and another was critically injured in a four-vehicle crash on Drew Street on Monday (Oct. 2), the Clearwater Police Department said.

Felicia Cunningham, 52, of Largo, died at the scene. Elizabeth Rivera, 34, of Clearwater, was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with critical injuries.

The other two drivers, Patrick Emery Smith, 39, of St. Petersburg, and Gregory Alan Bennett, 43, of Clearwater, were not injured.

The crash happened about 6:33 a.m. on Drew Street at Duncan Avenue.

Police said the investigation is continuing but preliminary findings indicate that the Hyundai Elantra that Ms. Cunningham was driving collided with the Dodge Durango that Smith was driving. Both were headed east on Drew.

The collision caused the Hyundai to flip onto its side and crash into the Dodge Avenger that Rivera was driving west on Drew.

It is unclear how the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus that Bennett was driving was involved in the crash. It was headed west on Drew. The bus had no passengers and the bus itself sustained minor damages.

Drew was closed until 11 a.m. while officers investigated the scene.

Anyone with information about the crash should contact the Clearwater Police at (727) 562-4242.
