Driver Dies after Crash with Pasco County Bus

The bus driver received minor injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – An SUV driver died Tuesday (May 23) of injuries he received in a crash with a Pasco County bus, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Juan Carlos Izaguirre, 38, of Dade City, died at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills where he was taken after the crash. The bus driver, Suzanne Marie Milza, 44, of Land O’ Lakes, was also taken to Florida Hospital Zephyrhills with minor injuries. No passengers on the bus were injured.

The crash happened about 12:19 p.m. on U.S. 301. The bus was stopped in the outside southbound lane at a marked bus stop to let passengers on and off the vehicle when it was rear ended by the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Mr. Izaguirre, troopers said.
