The crash was not alcohol related, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Spring Hill man is in critical condition after he sideswiped two other cars on Dale Mabry Highway, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Olvin Perez-Santana, 43, of Spring Hill, was taken to Florida Hospital Carrollwood. He is listed in serious condition.

One of the other drivers, Baris Savas Esici, 50, of Lutz, suffered minor injuries. He was not taken to a hospital. The third driver, Jesus Arnelio Quintana, 26, of Seminole Heights, was not injured.

The crash happened about 5:30 p.m. Friday (Nov. 16) on Dale Mabry Highway at Waters Avenue in Hillsborough County.

Troopers said Perez-Santana was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu north on Dale Mabry in the center lane. As he approached the Waters Avenue intersection, he failed to stay in his own lane and began traveling partly in his lane and partly in the inside lane. He sideswiped the 2012 Acura TSX that Esici was driving, which was stopped in the center lane.

The Malibu continued traveling after the crash and hit the 2008 Chevrolet Impala that Quintana was driving. The Impala was stopped in the center lane ahead of the Acura.
