The crash blocked two lanes on I-75, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Palmetto woman was cited today (June 21) after a single-car crash on I-75 that temporarily blocked two lanes of travel, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Skylar Rose Davis, 20, of Palmetto, was cited for careless driving. She suffered minor injuries in the crash but was not taken to a hospital.

The crash happened about 12:52 p.m. one southbound I-75 near the 241 milepost in Hillsborough County. Troopers said Davis, who was driving a 2007 Mazda3, overtook a slower vehicle. To avoid a collision, she steered onto the shoulder of the road, lost control and briefly entered the grass median. The Mazda reentered the roadway, spun and overturned before coming to a final rest blocking the inside and center lanes. It is unclear how long the lanes were blocked.
