One Dead After Jet Ski Crash
The crash happened near the Courtney Campbell Causeway.
TAMPA BAY – Two people have died from injuries received in a jet ski crash on Sunday (May 6), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said.
Alberto Portales Fernandez, 42, of Tampa, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was taken after the crash. The other, Helen Gore, 41, of Clearwater, was taken to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition. She died of her injuries Tuesday (May 8).
The crash happened in the waters near the Courtney Campbell Causeway. The FWC is investigating.
