The vehicles hit head-on, FHP troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY – A Hudson man is dead and two others are in serious condition after a head-on crash Friday (Dec. 14) on State Road 52, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Gerald Leon Sellas, 60, of Hudson, died at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point where he was taken after the crash. It is unclear if he had been drinking, troopers said.

Dominic Valentino, 64, the driver of the other vehicle, and his passenger, Denise Valentino, 63, both of New Port Richey, were taken to Bayonet Point in serious condition.

The crash happened about 5:53 p.m. on SR 52 west of Zimmerman Road in Pasco County.

Troopers said Mr. Sellas was driving a 1999 Toyota RAV4 east on SR 52 when, for an unknown reason, he traveled across the center median and into the west bound lanes. The Toyota collided head-on with the 2015 Ford F150 that Dominic Valentino was driving.
