Dale Mabry Crash Critically Injures Pedestrian

The man walked into the path of the car, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A pedestrian was critically injured Thursday (May 4) while crossing Dale Mabry Highway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Craig Allen Yates, 33, of Tampa, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with critical injuries.

The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. at Dale Mabry and Waters Avenue. Troopers said Yates was crossing Dale Mabry when he walked into the path of a 2001 Saturn driven by Briana Marie Peters, 25, of Tampa. Alcohol was not involved in the crash, troopers said.
