Crashes Tie Up Hillsborough Traffic on I-275

Two crashes involving eight vehicles caused a traffic snag on I-275 on Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – Traffic along northbound I-275 at Sligh Avenue was snarled for about three hours Sunday (June 4) by two car crashes, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The two separate crashes involved eight vehicles, troopers said. One crash involved six vehicles; the other, two vehicles. Only minor injuries were reported.

The crashes happened about 4:18 p.m., closing all but the inside lane of traffic, which was diverted to Sligh. The road was reopened again just before 7 p.m.
