Crash Kills Thonotosassa Woman

She was walking across State Road 60 when she was hit, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Thonotosassa woman died of injuries she received Sunday (Jan. 21) when she was hit while crossing State Road 60, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Brandi Eckelstafer, 35, of Thonotosassa, died at Brandon Regional Hospital where she was taken after the crash.

The crash happened about 8:09 p.m. on SR 60 at Mt Carmel Avenue. Troopers said Ms. Eckelstafter was crossing SR 60 when she walked into the path of a 2013 Dodge Dart driven by April Reyes, 33, of Tampa.
