She walked into the side of a truck, Tampa police said.

TAMPA – A Tampa woman died of injuries she received Tuesday (Sept. 26) when she was hit by a truck while crossing a street, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Sara Jean Hufford, 26, of Tampa, died of injuries she received in the 4:15 p.m. crash that happened at the intersection of Nebraska and Hillsborough avenues.

Witnesses told police Ms. Hufford was crossing Nebraska from the west side of the street toward the east. An eastbound truck on Hillsborough Avenue driven by Rodney Dewayne Davis, 50, of Brandon, was turning right to head south on Nebraska when Ms. Hufford reportedly walked into the side of the truck. No charges have been filed against the driver.
