Crash Kills New Port Richey Man

He lost control on the rain-slicked road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A New Port Richey man died Monday (Oct. 23) when his pickup truck crashed after he lost control on a wet road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Paul A. Davis, 65, of New Port Richey, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 6:50 p.m. on Decubelis Road west of Old Homestead Road. Troopers said Mr. Davis was driving a 2005 Dodge pickup truck east on Decubelis when he lost control.

The pickup left the rain-slicked road and collided with a raised concrete curb and sidewalk. It then struck aluminum railings and overturned onto the shoulder where it came to rest.
