Brooksville Motorcyclist Dies in Crash

A pickup truck turned in front of him, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

HERNANDO COUNTY – A Brooksville man died Saturday (March 3) in a traffic crash in Hernando County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Alfred Boutin, Jr., 80, of Brooksville, died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

The crash happened about 9:08 a.m. at the intersection of County Line Road and Monteverde Drive. Troopers said Mr. Boutin was driving a 2002 Honda motorcycle west on County Line Road when a 2017 Ford F150 driven by Michael King, 28, of Spring Hill, turned in front of him into the driveway of the Dunkin Donuts, 10455 County Line Road. As a result, the motorcycle hit the pickup  and Mr. Boutin was thrown from his motorcycle.
