He ran into the rear of a moped, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

HERNANDO COUNTY – A Brooksville man is in critical condition after a Wednesday (Sept. 20) crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Adam C. Cremin, 27, of Brooksville, was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital in critical condition. The other driver, Joshua A. Johnson, 25, also of Brooksville, received minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital. Neither was wearing a helmet.

The crash happened about 10:39 p.m. on Kurt Street. Troopers said Johnson was riding a 1985 Honda moped north on Kurt Street. He was ahead of Cremin, who was riding a 2003 Kawasaki KS4. The moped stopped to let the Kawasaki catch up. However, Cremin failed to see that the moped had stopped and hit it. Cremin was thrown from the Kawasaki.
