Brandon Motorcyclist Dies in Early Morning Crash

He crossed over the center line, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Brandon motorcyclist died early this morning (Oct. 28) in a crash caused when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Brian J. Drozdowski, 31, died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

The crash happened about 3:30 a.m. on 78th Street south of Causeway Boulevard. Deputies said Mr. Drozdowski was riding his 1998 Harley Sportster, southbound on 78th when he crossed over the center line and struck a Ford F-250 driven by Yoedel Hernandez, 32,of Tampa, which was traveling north on 78th Street.

Mr. Drozdowski was thrown from the motorcycle and was then struck by a 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Cenessia Jarmese Keys,34, of Gibsonton, who was also traveling south on 78th.

Deputies said there was no indication that either Keys or Hernandez was impaired.
