Bicyclist Seriously Injured in U.S. 41 Crash

She rode into the path of an oncoming SUV, FHP troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY – A bicyclist was seriously injured Monday (Jan. 14) in a crash on U.S. 41, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Hannah Sharon King, 21, of Zephyrhills, was airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital in serious condition. No one else was injured in the crash.

The crash happened about 12:51 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 54 and U.S. 41 in Pasco County.

Troopers said King was northbound on U.S. 41 when she tried to cross the east side of the intersection and rode into the path of a 2017 Infinity SUV driven by Deanna Nicole Midkiff, 36, of Land O’ Lakes, which had entered the intersection under a green light.
