Alligator Alley Crash Kills Two from Tampa

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

BROWARD COUNTY – An SUV crash on Alligator Alley killed a man and a woman from Tampa on Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Kevin Tyler Livingston, 42, and Michele Makiyama Livingston, 35, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 12:22 p.m. on westbound I-75 (Alligator Alley) at Mile Marker 32. Troopers said Mr. Livingston was driving a 2003 Ford Expedition west on Alligator Alley when the left rear tire tread of the vehicle separated. Mr. Livingston lost control and veered off the road into a canal.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
