95 Year Old on Mobile Scooter Dies in Pasco Crash

He was crossing under a red pedestrian light, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A 95-year-old man died Sunday (Oct. 8) when he was hit by a car while crossing the road on a mobile scooter, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Justo Delgado, 95, of Wesley Chapel died at the scene.

The crash happened about 7:24 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 54 and Wiregrass Ranch Boulevard. Troopers said Mr. Delgado was trying to cross SR 54 on a mobile scooter in a pedestrian crosswalk under a red pedestrian light. He traveled into the path of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade driven by Arden Ford, 78, of Wesley Chapel.
