Registration is open for the Moon Over Croom Trail Run.

BROOKSVILLE – Start in the day, run into the night – the Moon Over Croom is an unique trail run.

Registration is open for the Moon Over Croom Trail Run that takes place in the evening at Croom Park in Brooksville. Experience Croom like you never had before by running in the dark. Croom Park is in the Withlacoochee State Forest. The forest was named one of the “10 Coolest Places in North America” by the World Wildlife Fund.

There are three distances for the Moon Over Croom Trail Run – a 21 mile, 14 mile and the 7 mile. The main running trail is a 7-mile loop. The trail will be well marked for both daytime and the night running, which will have glow sticks to mark the course. Everyone will be required to have a headlamp/flashlight. Food includes Moon Pies, great post-race activities under the oaks, nice shirts.

The event starts at 6 p.m. June 30 in the Withlacoochee State Forest/Croom Park, 26416 Croom Road, Brooksville.
