New Pay Station, Parking Fee Set for Jenkins Creek Park

Jenkins Creek Park | Hernando County | Recreation

All vehicles will pay to park at Jenkins Creek starting Wednesday.

SPRING HILL – Starting Wednesday (April 17), Hernando County will begin charging a parking fee for all vehicles to park at Jenkins Creek Park.

The new fee for the park, 6401 Shoal Line Blvd. near Hernando Beach, is $5. Previously, only vehicles with boat trailers paid to park at the park’s honor box.

The county has also installed a pay station to take the place of the honor box. The new machine will accept credit cards only and will not provide change.

A 3 acre park with boat launch (small boat or canoes only), fishing pier, grill and picnic tables, restrooms.  Amenities include natural freshwater springs, man-made canals, coastal marshes, uplands, and waterways leading to the Gulf of Mexico.

For information about the new fees, contact the Hernando County Parks Department at (352) 754-4027 or (352) 754-4031 for information.
