Registration is open for the 24th Annual Seminole Stampede 5k and 1 mile run. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Fisher House for veterans at the Bay Pines VA campus.

SEMINOLE – Join the Seminole Chamber of Commerce for the 24th Annual Seminole Stampede 5K and 1 mile run.

This is the 24th year of the Seminole Stampede, normally there are several hundred participants. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Fisher House for veterans at the Bay Pines VA campus – Run the Distance for our Veterans!

New this year: Wear your “silly socks” and have a blast.

Win for your Seminole area school: Chick-fil-A will give a party to the grade with the most participants and Allen Sports Center will donate $500 of playground equipment to the school with at least 25 participants.

It’s 8 a.m. March 25 near Shelter 8 in Walsingham Park, 12615 102nd Ave, Seminole. Awards are given to runners in various age groups, and commemorative T-shirts are part of the registration package. Register at the Chamber office or online here. Register now and save $5 off the cost. Discount rates are available to groups of 10 or more participants.

The chamber is seeking volunteers to help on race day and event sponsors. Add your company’s or organization’s name to the list used for promotional opportunities and the back of the commemorative T-shirts.
