USF License Plate Gets Redesign
This is the third redesign of this specialty plate.
TAMPA BAY – The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has announced the release of the newly redesigned specialty plate for the University of South Florida.
The new plate will be delivered to tax collector and tag agency offices by Friday (Aug. 10). As of July 1, there were 14,855 valid registrations of this specialty license plate.
Floridians interested in purchasing the new USF plate are encouraged to contact their local tax collector or tag agency office for availability. A list of locations can be found online at flhsmv.gov/locations. There will be a $25 specialty plate fee in addition to the other registration fees. Revenue from the sale of the plate goes back to the university to fund academic enhancement, such as scholarships and other activities.
The USF license plate was one of the original collegiate specialty license plates enacted by the legislature in 1986 and has been available for purchase since October 1987. This is the third redesign of this specialty plate.
