Registration is open for the Dirthead Off-Road Duathlon.

BROOKSVILLE – The Dirthead Off-Road Duathlon takes place on the wonderful Croom Trails at the Withlacoochee State Forest in Brooksville – nothing too technical, just fun riding and running.

The Dec. 4 event takes place mainly on Croom’s single-track trails. There are two distances to choose from –  Sprint Duathlon and Middle Earth Duathlon.  The different race options at The Dirthead mean there is a race for everybody that will provide a great mixture of enjoyment and challenge.

Sprint Duathlon: 10-mile bike – 3.8-mile run

This is a great option if you want to try an off-road duo or are a little unsure about the running or biking portion.

Middle Earth Duathlon: 10-mile bike – 7-mile run – 13-mile bike

Looking to push yourself with a new challenge? Look no further than the Dirthead.

The course will be well marked so you don’t have to worry about getting lost and it also means that there is no big advantage to knowing the trails.
