Pasco Lights Up Wilderness Park

Christmas Lights | Holiday Lights | Lights

This will be the 19th year for the “celebration of lights.”

NEW PORT RICHEY – Pasco County parks department will light up Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park for visitors to see lights dance to festive music.

Residents can enjoy the event from the comfort of their car for a fee of $2 per vehicle. Families should keep their eyes open for flurries and visitors from the North Pole. The music that is set for the lights to dance to can be heard by tuning radios into 89.5 FM.

“This event is a great opportunity for the community to come out and enjoy the holiday cheer,” park site supervisor Rob Mahler said. “People often come out multiple times during the two week event to get themselves in the Holiday spirit and kickoff this great time of year.”

This will be the 19th year for the event, which is a  collaboration of the county and local businesses, organizations and volunteers have come together to make this event happen each year.

Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park is located at 10500 Wilderness Park Road, New Port Richey. The event will run Thursday (Dec. 10) through Sunday (Dec. 13) and Dec. 17  through Dec. 20. Gates will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
