That’s the message St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman delivered to an overflowing crowd at Demen’s Landing today at the Women’s March, St. Pete.

ST. PETERSBURG – St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman brought a message of solidarity, support and hope to the thousands who crowded into Demen’s Landing today (Jan. 21) for the Women’s March, St. Pete.

“St. Petersburg sunshine warmly embraces everyone,” Kriseman said. “St. Petersburg is your shelter and we have your back. We are all in this together.”

Kriseman declared the day “Women’s Rights Day.”

The event, at Demens Landing, is one of many around the world that are sister marches to the main march in Washington, DC.

In the proclamation, Kriseman noted: “Women’s rights are human rights … and … every woman and girl deserves the right to live in an environment where  she can exercise her human rights and live up to her full potential.”
