Library | Books | Special Interest

The West Hernando Branch Library and the Spring Hill Branch Library will be affected by the temporary closures.

HERNANDO COUNTY – The Hernando County Public Library System will temporarily close two libraries for scheduled maintenance and repairs.

The West Hernando Branch Library, 6335 Blackbird Ave. in Brooksville, will be closed to the public on May 13 and May 20 for repairs to the public parking lot. Repair work will also take place on the weekend of May 18 and 19 when the branch is regularly closed. Normal hours of operation are scheduled to resume May 14 and May 21. The book-drop will be inaccessible during this time. Parking lot improvements will be funded by a bequest.

The Spring Hill Branch Library, 9220 Spring Hill Drive, will be closed May 23 through June 4 for new carpeting to be installed. Normal hours of operation are expected to resume June 5. The book-drop will also be inaccessible during this time. Because of this, overdue charges may be waived for any materials with due dates during this timeframe and materials may be renewed. The project is funded by a grant from the State Aid to Libraries Grant program, which is administered by the Florida Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.

Patrons can receive regular library services during these times at all other available library locations.
