St. Pete Celebrates Martin Luther King Day with Nine Events

The city kicks off the celebration Sunday (Jan. 8).The 32nd Annual “MLK Dream Big” Parade on Jan. 16 anchors St. Pete’s celebration.

ST. PETERSBURG – This city is holding an extensive lineup of events to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 16).

The celebration includes nine events:

32nd ANNUAL “MLK DREAM BIG” PARADE
11 a.m. Jan. 16
Please note the new route. The parade reverses course for 2017: Parade begins at Central Avenue and Second Street, heads west to MLK/9th Street., turns south for one block, then turns west, proceeds along First Avenue S to 16th Street turns south again to Third Avenue S, disbanding near Lot 1, Tropicana Field.
Grand Marshal: Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
