The New Year’s Eve parade and pep rally in Ybor City will help usher in 2017 in style.

YBOR CITY – Celebrate Sunday’s big football game at the Outback Bowl New Year’s Eve Parade and pep rally.

The parade will feature floats and about 20  marching bands including the Gators and Hawkeyes bands.

The pep rally features a battle of the bands and cheerleaders from both the University of Florida and the University of Iowa. This free family event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 31) with a parade that runs along 7th Avenue between 14th and 20th streets. The parade is expected to end about 7 p.m. The pep rally is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Please note: no coolers, glass containers or open alcohol allowed on streets.
