The 8K run and walk will help provide free testing and counseling.

GULFPORT – Registration is open for the seventh annual 8k Run and Walk for Awareness benefitting education, detection and counseling for prostate cancer.

The course is runner and walker friendly. The start and finish are at the Gulfport Casino. The goal is to provide free screening tests and provide counseling. Prostate Cancer is a killer especially in the African-American community.

The run/walk begins at the Gulfport Casino at 8 a.m. Jan. 7.  Packet and shirt pickup is noon to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Gulfport Casino, 5500 Shore Blvd. S. Free screenings will be available.
