Music, rides and other fun activities will highlight Saturday’s celebration.

CLEARWATER – The city of Clearwater will celebrate Children’s Day (El Día del Niño) from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday (April 28) in Clearwater’s Downtown Gateway.

The free event will feature music, dance groups, drum line, children’s amusement rides, children’s bicycle raffle, art activities, clown performance, free Kona Ice, food trucks, La Chiva de Tampa bus ride, an appearance by Phinley, the Clearwater Threshers team mascot, and an opportunity to paint the exterior of the NOMAD Art Bus.

The event will be held at the intersection of Cleveland Street and Hillcrest Avenue. Free parking will be available at Cleveland Street and Lincoln Avenue. The Chiva bus will transport people for free to and from the parking lot to the event.
