ST. PETERSBURG – If you’ve ever wondered about owning or driving an electric vehicle, now’s your chance to learn what it’s like to drive electric.

Owners of nine models of electric cars will have their vehicles on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (April 13) at Electric Avenue, part of St. Petersburg’s Earth Day celebration in Williams Park, 350 Second Ave. N. The display is part of Drive Electric Earth Day, a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles and for organizers to highlight how they are a better choice for your wallet and the environment.

Electrify the South will be on hand to offer information and answer any questions you may have about making the switch to driving electric.

Additionally, throughout the day there will be a seminar series and one presentation will focus on how EVs can benefit you. Hear from Dory Larsen, EV program coordinator, with the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy from 12:45 p.m. -1:15 p.m. and learn why EVs are for you.

Nine models – 25 total – of electric vehicle will be on display. Among them Teslas, Nissans, Chevrolets and Fiats:
