A former member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, he will speak about making democracy work.

ST. PETERSBURG – Bakari Sellers, a CNN analyst and passionate advocate for social justice, will address two community forums at St. Petersburg College on Wednesday (Oct. 10).

Sellers, who at 22 was the youngest African American elected to public office when he won election to the South Carolina House of Representatives, will speak on Making Democracy Work: The State of Politics Today – and Where We Are Headed.

Thefirst  forum will be from noon – 2 p.m. at SPC Downtown Center American Stage, 244 2nd  Ave. N, St. Petersburg. The second is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SPC’s Allstate Center, 3200 34th St. S, St. Petersburg.
