Channelside Bay Plaza says its Light Up Tampa Bay New Year’s Eve Celebration and Block Party will be the place to welcome in the New Year with waterfront fireworks and free entertainment.

TAMPA – Ring in the New Year on the waterfront at Channelside Bay Plaza with live entertainment, a Tampa Bay Lightning watch party, and waterfront ball-drop and fireworks display at midnight.

This free event, sponsored by the city of Tampa and the Tampa Bay Lightning, will start at 7 p.m. with a Tampa Bay Lightning watch party in the Garrison Street parking lot featuring DJ Jake Dela Cruz and a party in the Channelside Bay Plaza Courtyard featuring DJ Xplicid. Only 3,500 wristbands will be distributed for waterfront admission—first come, first serve.

Special Event parking is available in the parking garage or in the open lots between Channelside Bay Plaza and Amalie Arena. Personal items will be inspected upon arrival. No personal fireworks, firearms, backpacks, blankets, chairs, or coolers will be permitted inside Channelside Bay Plaza. Chairs will only be permitted in the Garrison Street Parking Lot in the watch party seating section. Seating area is limited—first come, first serve. No outside food or beverage. While Channelside Bay Plaza is a pet friendly facility, please know that this event is not pet friendly.
