For Beer and Jeeps, Head to Clearwater

The proceeds from this weekend’s festival will go to the Clearwater Firefighters Charitable Foundation.

CLEARWATER – The inaugural Cleveland Street Jeeps and Brews Fest will feature a ton of Jeeps, local brews, food trucks, live music, kids zone and vendors.

And it is all for a good cause. The proceeds from the event will go to the Clearwater Firefighters Charitable Foundation.

The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 9) along Cleveland Street and at Station Square Park, 612 Cleveland St., in downtown Clearwater.

The event will feature a Jeep show and shine with numerous Jeeps competing for best in show. The craft brew scene will be represented with some of the top craft breweries in the area, including Dunedin Brewery, Mastry’s Brewing Co., Crooked Thumb Brewery and Big Storm Brewing Co.

The food trucks will feature Maggie on the Move, Ramen and Waffles and Better Than Eves BBQ.

The live music will include vocalist Betty Fox and singer and saxophonist Ric Cunningham.

To register a Jeep for the contest, go to eventbrite.com. The cost to register a Jeep is $20. If you preregister online for the Jeep contest, there will be a $5 discount for the tasting wrist band. Registration for the Jeep contest can be made the day of the event by visiting the registration booth at Station Square Park in Downtown Clearwater.

The craft beer tasting wristband is $30, which allows for unlimited sample pours during the event. There is no charge to attend the event if you aren’t registering a Jeep and are not drinking from the craft breweries.
