The open house at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center is part of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs nationwide kickoff for Veterans Month, which is in November.

SEMINOLE – Veterans and their families are invited to the Department of Veterans Affairs  open house at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines on Wednesday (Nov. 1).

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The open house event at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center will take place in the JC Cobb room located on the first floor of building 100 (main hospital building).

Information and available resources for Veterans will include VA health care benefits, VA benefits (non-medical), volunteer opportunities, VA employment information, women veterans services, suicide prevention, services specifically for Operation Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and New Dawn Veterans, and more.

Vietnam veterans who attend the events may also receive a special commemorative lapel pin, along with several other items, as part of the nation’s continued observance of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.

The open house is being held as part VA’s nationwide kickoff for Veterans Month (November). The goal of the nationwide effort is to raise awareness about the services offered to Veterans by the Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Benefits Administration and the National Cemetery Administration.
