Pinellas Opens Cold Night Shelters
The shelters will be open tonight and Thursday. They might also be open Friday if the weather remains cold.
PINELLAS COUNTY – The Pinellas County cold night shelters for the homeless will be open tonight (Jan. 3) and Thursday (Jan. 4).
There is a possibility the shelters may open on Friday (Jan. 5) evening as well if it remains cold.
The shelters open between 6 p.m.and 6:30 PM (Peace Memorial opens at 5 p.m.), accept guests all night long, and close the next morning about 6 a.m. Shelter guests are provided a hot evening meal, a warm safe place to spend the night, and breakfast the following morning.
