Officers from the Tampa Police Department made a video to thank all veterans, including the 256 members of the department who have served, or are serving, in the military.

TAMPA – The Tampa Police Department on Sunday – Veterans Day – released a video to pay tribute to veterans and to recognize 256 current members of the department who have served, or continue to serve, in the military.

“We are proud of what they do to keep both our city and country safe,” the department said. “We recognize them this Veterans Day and honor all those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. This tribute is a way for us to say, ‘thank you,’ to all veterans.”

The video is set to Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA (Proud to Be an American), which was covered by members of the department who sang and played instruments,
including drums played by Assisstant Chief Eli Vazquez – a U.S. Marine Corp veteran.

Morrisound Recording partnered on the project, donated studio time and mastered the audio.
