A fire marshal’s investigator was at the scene to determine why the fire started.

TAMPA – A house was destroyed early this morning (Sept. 6) by a fire.

There were no injuries, Tampa Fire Rescue officials said.

Tampa firefighters were called to the scene about 12:40 a.m. The first firefighters who arrived saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the single-story, wood frame home at 911 E 12th Ave. Firefighters were unable to enter the house because of the intensity of the flames and the instability of the structure. Firefighters said they had the blaze under control by 1:30 a.m. There were no injuries reported at the scene. An investigator from the fire marshal’s office was on scene to begin determining the cause and the origin of the fire.
