St. Pete Wolf Pack Accuses 13 of Drunken Driving

ST. PETERSBURG – A St. Patrick’s Day wolf pack that targeted drunk driving accused a total of 13 people of DUI, according to figures from the St. Petersburg Police Department.

The wolf pack, made up of St. Pete police officers and Florida Highway Patrol troopers, filed a total of 73 criminal charges and 132 traffic-related citations. The wolf pack began patrolling Friday (March 17) evening and wrapped up operations early this morning (March 18). It’s unclear how many individuals were arrested. Some could have been charged with more than one offense.

The operation was part of the department’s commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving.

MADD, RID USA, and the Suncoast Safety Council also helped law enforcement during the operation.
