St. Pete Police Chief to Discuss Gun Safety

The discussion will center on how the community can effectively prevent gun violence and improve gun safety.

ST. PETERSBURG – Police Chief Tony Holloway will be the featured speaker Monday (Nov. 13) during a community conversation about gun violence.

The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Allendale Methodist Church Sanctuary, 3803 Haines Road in St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg City Council Member Lisa Wheeler-Bowman will introduce Holloway. The free event is open to the public.

The community conversation is sponsored by the Gun Safety Action Team of the League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg Area.The gun safety team says it has a long term commitment to gun safety. Members study and publish information on gun safety and have developed an education campaign to provide the public with necessary facts.  with the facts you need to know.  Our work is based on timely, authoritative research and reflects the non-partisan position of the Florida and U.S. League of Women Voters, as well as the FL Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence.
