Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Hillsborough Field
The pilot was not injured.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A single-engine plane made an emergency landing Saturday (Nov. 25) in a vacant Odessa field, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
The pilot, whose name was not released, was not injured.
The landing happened about 2:45 p.m. in a vacant field the area of Tyler Run Avenue and Huckaville Road.
The plane had minor damage to a wing and the propeller.
Hillsborough deputies turned the incident over the NTSB and FAA who will determine the cause of the unexpected landing. The plane will be towed from the location at a later date and time.
