Man Dies from Pasco House Fire

Two other occupants of the home were not injured, according to Pasco Fire Rescue.

PASCO COUNTY – A 67-year-old man died early this morning (April 12) of injuries suffered in a house fire, Pasco Fire Rescue said.

Information is limited and the man’s name was not released.

Pasco Fire Rescue said firefighters were called to a home on Newgent Road about 2 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found a single story wood frame home with heavy fire conditions.

Two people who were outside told firefighters that another person was inside the home. Firefighters said crews searched the house and found a 67-year-old male patient in the back bedroom. He was taken to Bayfront Health Dade City where he died of his injuries. No one else was injured.
