Two Injured in Tampa Mobile Home Fire

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.

TAMPA – Two people were injured in a mobile home fire Friday (Nov. 30) at the North Rome Mobile Home Park, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.

The occupant of the mobile home was taken to a local hospital for treatment of burns. A neighbor who helped the resident escape suffered a minor burn and was treated at the scene. The resident’s dog escaped safely.

Firefighters were called to the park, 6700 N Rome Ave., about 1:30 p.m. When the first crew arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the middle section of the single-wide mobile home. Crews fought the fire until it was under control by about 2 p.m. Investigators were on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
