BRANDON – Eight condominiums were damaged by an early morning fire in Brandon, according to the Hillsborough Fire Rescue department.

Firefighters were called to the 500 block of Golden Raintree Place inside the Hamptons Condominums about 2:10 this morning (May 9). When they arrived, firefighters found a two-story condo building with heavy smoke and fire through the roof. Firefighters evacuated the building, and started their fire attack. A second alarm was called because of the heavy fire and smoke.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
