Apartments Damaged in St. Petersburg Fire

Four adults and eight children were displaced and being helped by the Red Cross, according to St. Petersburg firefighters.

ST. PETERSBURG – Twelve people were left without a home after a fire Saturday (March 2) at an apartment complex, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said.

No one was injured in the blaze. Four adults and eight children were displaced because of the fire. The Red Cross is helping them.

Firefighters said they were called to the complex at 2144 56the Ave. S about 12:50 p.m. They arrived to find four apartment units affected by the fire.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
