Jennifer Webb is running for the Florida House District 69 seat in the November 2018 election.

GULFPORT – Jennifer Webb, who is running for the Florida House District 69, has scheduled a fundraiser for Dec. 12.

The fundraiser, billed as a Birthday Party Campaign Kickoff, will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Peninsula Inn, 2937 Beach Blvd S in Gulfport.

Webb, a Democrat, is a resident of Gulfport who works as the director of university partnerships at the University of South Florida. She ran unsuccessfully for the HD 69 seat in 2016 against Republican incumbent Kathleen Peters. Peters is not seeking reelection; she is instead running for the Pinellas County Commission.

Thus far, Webb is the only Democrat to announce for the HD 69 race. Republicans Jeremy Bailie and Raymond Blacklidge have announced they are running for the seat.

HD 69 includes the south Pinellas beaches from Redington Shores south to Tierra Verde, the mainland cities of Gulfport, South Pasadena, Kenneth City, the unincorporated west Lealman area and portions of Pinellas Park and the east Lealman area.

The primary election is Aug. 28 and the general election is Nov. 6.
